Our Mission....

We are a non-partisan advocacy group seeking economic justice for all in the light of the Gospel
and Catholic Social Teaching
Vision Statement

The Catholic Caucus provides a forum for the members of the Catholic Community and other
groups and community organizations to work together in order to give the highest priority to
human needs in the formation of state budget priorities and policies.
Focus of Activities (What We Do):

  • The ongoing and increasing needs of people who rely on government assistance and
who continue to lack alternative means to meet their basic needs and move toward
    greater self-sufficiency.
  • The lack of educational opportunities, job training and shortage of jobs that pay a wage
that can sustain a family’s basic needs.
  • The needs for employment support services such as child care, public transportation and
    health care coverage.
  • Providing for those persons who are not for all practical purposes, employable in our
    present system.

This is what Yahweh asks of you:
Only this; to act justly
to love tenderly,
and to walk humbly
with your God.
Micah 7:8
"Social justice is loving persons so much that I work to change structures that violate their dignity."
